Quality Meals, Warm Hospitality

We understand how important dining and hospitality services are to our residents in maintaining and improving their quality and enjoyment of life.

St Catherine’s is committed to ensuring the standard of these services matches our levels of care.

Accordingly, the St Catherine’s Food Focus Group was established in July 2024 to give residents a meaningful voice in their dining experience.

The group supports resident choice by providing feedback on menus, food quality, and the overall dining environment. Residents are involved in tasting new dishes, reviewing menus in consultation with the dietitian, and sharing ideas to improve mealtimes.

All residents are welcome to participate, with meetings held quarterly and integrated into our Resident Meetings to encourage broad involvement.

In addition, feedback is also gathered regularly outside meetings and communicated back to the Food Focus Group, with input shared with kitchen, clinical, lifestyle, and management teams. Any outcomes are communicated back to residents to ensure transparency and continuous improvement with our dining and hospitality services.

Professionally prepared and cooked fresh daily, just for our residents

We have dedicated on-site chefs and cooks who collaborate with dieticians to update and rotate the menus on a regular basis to ensure meals remain nutritionally balanced and meet any dietary or cultural preferences.

Staff are encouraged to create interesting options that reflect the personal preferences of residents, and incorporate local or seasonal produce where possible. All meals are cooked on site daily. A copy of our current menu can be found here.

Refresh, Relax, and Connect

At St Catherine’s we have fully stocked tea, coffee and cold drinks stations located for residents and guests to help themselves whenever they feel thirsty or like a cuppa. A range of snacks is also available in these areas.

Our social calendar also includes pre-dinner drinks on a Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 4pm
